In the Bishopric...Again!

Adam found out a couple of weeks ago that Bishop Miller was going to be released. He hadn't heard anything as to whether or not he would be called again. On Thursday he got a call from Pres. Monson (not THE Pres. Monson...the one in our Stake Presidency) asking if he could meet with us Sunday morning. It looks like we're stayin' in the Single's Ward!!

Here is Adam, Bishop Miller, and Ben Fa'anunu. Adam has really enjoyed working with these guys and in this calling. He was sad to here that they were releasing Ben for good. They get a long really well. Bishop Miller has been a great Bishop too. We wish him and Sis. Miller the best.

Here is us with the Fa'anunu's . Don't worry...we'll still be friends!

Here is the new Bishopric: Adam, Bishop Kellogg, and Paul Johnson.
We're looking forward to getting to know them. I'm glad that we still get to work with all the wonderful YSA's. We love them and they love Evie!!

Baby Shower Fever

It's that time of year again... Okay, it's always that time of year in our ward...Baby Shower Time! We've had quite a few showers and there are more to come. I do love all those new little babies.

My friend April asked me if I would make her a baby quilt. I was happy to do it! She drew out what she wanted and I did the best I could. I was really happy with how it turned out. (Don't worry...I didn't quilt that by hand, my mom did! She's great!)

Another one of my friends makes cute little onesies. I asked if she could make a matching mushroom and, voila, this is what we got. I love it!

Here is April, at her shower, opening my gift! What a proud moment.
**April had her baby just a few days after her shower. Baby Maia came 6 weeks early and is in the NICU in Spokane. Keep her in your prayers.

Today I had the fun job of hosting a baby shower for my friend Pleasy. It was a lot of fun. Pleasy and Jon got married the same day Adam and I did. They beat us by a couple of hours though. Pleasy graduates from Law School in May, will have her baby in June, and hopefully, maybe will take the Bar in July. Good Luck, Pleasy! (I am SO GRATEFUL that my mother and father-in-law decided to come for a visit. Grandma was was such a help with Evie. She saved me hours of time!) I made these fun caterpillar cupcakes.

So...I can't have a post these days without sneaking in a few pictures of my adorable little sweetie!
Evie decided to take a little snooze on the couch. (She was really out here because Adam kicked her out of her room so he could work out in front of the mirror!!)

Last Sunday we found the little hat that Evie came home from the hospital in. Has she really grown that much?!

We've upgraded to the 3-6 month clothes and boy oh boy are there some adorable outfits!

Two New Tricks

I know...it's another Evie post, but I can't help it! She is learning new things everyday and it's very fun for me!

Trick #1 (it's actually trick #2, but I imported them in the wrong order!)
She can grab her toes now!! She thinks it's great. She has now progressed from just being obsessed with her hands, to being obsessed with her little piggies too!

Trick #2
She can grab other objects (besides her toes). She tries and tries to get them into her mouth, but isn't very coordinated yet. She's getting there though. (Only problem is the toys scare her sometimes!)

Since I was blogging, I thought that I would add a few more pictures just for fun!

On Friday we took Addie and Julia to play frisbee golf. The weather was so nice. Being the good mom that I am, bundled Evie up nice and tight! When we got home her head was all sweaty. We were impressed that she could have a bad hair day when she hardly has any hair!

On Saturday we went to the institute for General Conference. Adam helped out with the Bishop's Breakfast they have. We tried to watch conference with everyone else, but Evie got a little tired of being quiet so we went to a classroom and watched/listened/played with the baby there!

Sunday night Adam and I decided to play a little Rook. Evie wanted in on the fun, but didn't make it long. Poor little thing was tuckered out. She's bound to be a good card player!
