The Last Few Weeks

Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks. I haven't been very good about blogging...

Here is Adam and his friend, Bum (with Evie & Win) at the MBA graduation reception. Adam finished his MBA at WSU...Yahoo!! One more semester of Law School and we'll be done!
(There will be more pictures coming of Adam in a cap and gown...he didn't walk, but a fellow MBAer took some pictures for him!)

We'd been itching to get outside and have a bbq. The Jorgensen's and Gruzska's were kind enough to join us. Adam and the boys got the fire ready!

Rhonda was kind enough to hold Evie while I ate!

For our baby shower, some of Adam's family gave us this stroller. We LOVE it!! Thank you Andrea & Deej!
Here is Evie getting ready for our walk! Don't let her expression fool you...she really likes it too!

Adam running with Evie... We were trying out the motion blur on my camera!

Don't have to say anything about this one!!

I love my family!

Lunch with Addie!

One of my best buddies, Addie, came over for lunch today. Addie and I used to hang out 3 times a week and I've been missing her.

We had a special lunch of hotdogs and mac & cheese. I got that idea from my creative sister!

Addie loved the hotdog octopus!

I'm not going lie...I kinda liked it too!

Here is Addie and Evie. They look like they could be sisters in this picture. Don't let Evie's face fool you...she loved the lunch date and she loved Addie!

We're adorable! I love you, Addie!

Houston!

My Houston trip came and went and it hardly feels like I was there. Time goes so fast these days. It was a great trip. The weather was perfect, the people were perfect...it was great!

My friends Candice and Holt stopped by for a visit. Candice and I used to work together. The kids couldn't tell us apart some times!

Seana was our roommate for a while. She stopped by to meet Little Evie!

Alona invited a bunch of people over on Saturday night for a little get together. We really did have the best friends in Houston. I feel bad that Alona isn't in a lot of these pictures. She was either taking the pictures or taking care of Evie.

Alona took these adorable pictures on Sunday. It was so fun having Evie wear all these summery dresses. We're still in Winter clothes up here...

We had the Call's and Bushman's over for dinner on Sunday. Katherine came too. It was great seeing everyone. We used to have family dinner on Sundays, so it was nice to relive that too!

Dannen and Claudia's little girls loved Evie. It was fun watching them with her. Claudia had a new baby the next day. They are going to be great sisters!

We visited Lila one day. Lila also used to teach Kindergarten with me. Evie really loved her. Lila could make her smile and giggle so easily. It was adorable!

Evie has always hated the wind. I thought...maybe if it's a warmer wind, it won't bother her as bad. Luck being as it is, it was a really cool morning in Houston and Evie did NOT like the walk. It was a quick one!

We headed up to Pine Forest to visit some folks. All my old students are getting so tall. I taught 3 of those kiddos (and I'll continue to teach Evie!)

Getting ready to visit the Chappells!

We had dinner with the Chappell's one night. It was so good to see them. I really do miss them a lot. They have made such a positive impact in my life. I hope that I can grow up to be just like them.

I realized that we didn't have many pictures of Alona and Evie. I really like how this one turned out.

I spent the morning at PFE again on the day I flew out. Alona's class loved Evie. They all got to touch her toes and tell her hello. It was really cute. Evie was a big hit as school with students and teachers!

One of our co-workers. Alona and Trish work together a lot. Trish hears everything about Evie!

I got to visit my K-Crew. I didn't get a picture before Kelly had to leave, but I was pleasantly surprised that Scott (Robbin's husband) was at school that day. I sure do like them. Scott always kept me on my toes. I was really sad that I didn't get a picture of Carrie. She stopped by the house one day to say hello. She taught kindergarten with us, but transfered to a new school. We really had the best team.

I failed to get a picture of Evie on her very first flight. I could have kicked myself. I did get this one on the way home. Evie was SO SO good on the plane. Everyone (on all the flights) kept telling me what a sweet baby I had. She was pretty happy and just smiling at everyone around her. What a special girl she is. She seems to bring joy to everyone who meets her!

Thanks, Alona, for a fun trip. We miss you already!

Evie Jay

Evie and I took a quick trip to Houston to visit my sister while Adam studies for finals. It has been fun and I will blog more about that in a few days when our trip is done. This post is all about Evie! One of former student's mom is photographer. She took some pictures of Evie today. Here is the sneak peek! I can't wait to see the rest! Thanks Shannon! If anyone in the Houston area needs a photographer, she's great! Check her out!

In the Bishopric...Again!

Adam found out a couple of weeks ago that Bishop Miller was going to be released. He hadn't heard anything as to whether or not he would be called again. On Thursday he got a call from Pres. Monson (not THE Pres. Monson...the one in our Stake Presidency) asking if he could meet with us Sunday morning. It looks like we're stayin' in the Single's Ward!!

Here is Adam, Bishop Miller, and Ben Fa'anunu. Adam has really enjoyed working with these guys and in this calling. He was sad to here that they were releasing Ben for good. They get a long really well. Bishop Miller has been a great Bishop too. We wish him and Sis. Miller the best.

Here is us with the Fa'anunu's . Don't worry...we'll still be friends!

Here is the new Bishopric: Adam, Bishop Kellogg, and Paul Johnson.
We're looking forward to getting to know them. I'm glad that we still get to work with all the wonderful YSA's. We love them and they love Evie!!

Baby Shower Fever

It's that time of year again... Okay, it's always that time of year in our ward...Baby Shower Time! We've had quite a few showers and there are more to come. I do love all those new little babies.

My friend April asked me if I would make her a baby quilt. I was happy to do it! She drew out what she wanted and I did the best I could. I was really happy with how it turned out. (Don't worry...I didn't quilt that by hand, my mom did! She's great!)

Another one of my friends makes cute little onesies. I asked if she could make a matching mushroom and, voila, this is what we got. I love it!

Here is April, at her shower, opening my gift! What a proud moment.
**April had her baby just a few days after her shower. Baby Maia came 6 weeks early and is in the NICU in Spokane. Keep her in your prayers.

Today I had the fun job of hosting a baby shower for my friend Pleasy. It was a lot of fun. Pleasy and Jon got married the same day Adam and I did. They beat us by a couple of hours though. Pleasy graduates from Law School in May, will have her baby in June, and hopefully, maybe will take the Bar in July. Good Luck, Pleasy! (I am SO GRATEFUL that my mother and father-in-law decided to come for a visit. Grandma was was such a help with Evie. She saved me hours of time!) I made these fun caterpillar cupcakes.

So...I can't have a post these days without sneaking in a few pictures of my adorable little sweetie!
Evie decided to take a little snooze on the couch. (She was really out here because Adam kicked her out of her room so he could work out in front of the mirror!!)

Last Sunday we found the little hat that Evie came home from the hospital in. Has she really grown that much?!

We've upgraded to the 3-6 month clothes and boy oh boy are there some adorable outfits!

Two New Tricks

I know...it's another Evie post, but I can't help it! She is learning new things everyday and it's very fun for me!

Trick #1 (it's actually trick #2, but I imported them in the wrong order!)
She can grab her toes now!! She thinks it's great. She has now progressed from just being obsessed with her hands, to being obsessed with her little piggies too!

Trick #2
She can grab other objects (besides her toes). She tries and tries to get them into her mouth, but isn't very coordinated yet. She's getting there though. (Only problem is the toys scare her sometimes!)

Since I was blogging, I thought that I would add a few more pictures just for fun!

On Friday we took Addie and Julia to play frisbee golf. The weather was so nice. Being the good mom that I am, bundled Evie up nice and tight! When we got home her head was all sweaty. We were impressed that she could have a bad hair day when she hardly has any hair!

On Saturday we went to the institute for General Conference. Adam helped out with the Bishop's Breakfast they have. We tried to watch conference with everyone else, but Evie got a little tired of being quiet so we went to a classroom and watched/listened/played with the baby there!

Sunday night Adam and I decided to play a little Rook. Evie wanted in on the fun, but didn't make it long. Poor little thing was tuckered out. She's bound to be a good card player!
