Since it was our anniversary last weekend and it has been miserable weather in Moscow, we decided to leave town. We have come to realize that we are a very indecisive couple. We changed our minds quite a few times when deciding where to go. Everywhere, within reason, was also having cold rainy weather so we headed to Boise and Placerville. I'm really glad we went. It wasn't necessarily a romantic getaway, but it was so good to see Adam's family and just get out of Moscow!
I didn't take any pictures in Boise, but we headed there first. We took Madeline to a "diary of wimpy kid", (which Adam loved!) and went to a production of "the ark" with Adam's parents. Both we enjoyable. Adam and I headed to Placerville Friday night and the rest of the family came on Saturday. Adam really liked how the cars looked parked diagonally. He's the photographer for all the Placerville pics!
Here is Vic grilling us some delicious steaks!
Erika and Chris are the only ones who stayed the night with us. We stayed up late playing cards and laughing. The next morning they got up early and cooked us breakfast. They're so nice! We love them!

We headed home on our actual anniversary. The rivers were all running so high, we had to stop and watch the rapids. These pictures don't do it justice. They were huge.
When we pulled up the people there said some kayaker's had just gone by. We waited around for quite a while to see if we could see some, and we did!! They were crazy!!
Some of those rapids looked to be around 10 feet high. You can see how little this guy looks in the middle of it all.
The rest of the trip was beautiful and uneventful. We made it home in time to watch our wedding video and play some cards. What a good weekend!

Happy Anniversary! It sounds like you had a nice time getting out of town, even if it wasn't what you had in mind. What a beautiful cabin!
Those were impressive waves...my idea of the perfect nightmare!!
Good job on the pictures! I love that place, and especially love the Warrs! Do you think I would love Diary of a Wimpy kid? Its on my list.
At least we got one sort of nice day in the 3 you were here . . . but despite the weather it was so WONDERFUL to see the kids from the north lands! Love you both! Love the pics - Adam may have a little unleashed talent . . .
